A high level delegation led by Mr. Shantmanu, IAS, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), alongwith Mr. R K Verma, Director, EPCH and prominent EPCH member exporters from Moradabad, Agra, Khurja, Delhi and North Eastern Region. The objective of the delegations visit was to understand various techniques of product development, production infrastructure, design institutions and institutional support available to the artisans and exporters of gifts, decoratives, crafts, furniture, etc. in both the countries and also explore the possibility of future joint ventures and synergize the strengths of these nations with the Indian handicrafts sector. With an objective to educate crafts persons/artisans, NGOs/SHGs, entrepreuners and primary producers, EPCH conducted seminars at Imphal, Manipur; Dimapur, Nagaland; and Temi Tea Estate & Hee Bormiok, Sikkim, in the North Eastern Region of India. Expert faculty guided the participants on Export Promotion, International Marketing, Packaging, Custom procedure for export promotion, Digital Marketing, Quality Compliances and Design & Product Development, for Comprehensive Development of NE Crafts under North Eastern Textiles Promotion Scheme (NERTPS).
