Chairman’s Message
Dear Fellow Exporters,
I take great pride in the sector's exceptional export performance and in the dedicated efforts of each of
our member exporters, who have consistently contributed to this achievement year after year. At the
24th Handicrafts Export Awards for 2019-20 and 2020-21, 123 awards were presented to export
organisations in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the promotion of handicraft exports.
My heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees.
EPCH made a significant representation at the recent edition of HGH India, placing special emphasis on
regional crafts showcased by artisans from various states across the nation. I am also pleased to share
that our participation in premier overseas exhibitions has been highly successful, with the most recent
representation being at the India Trend Fair in Tokyo, Japan. Looking ahead, EPCH will be participating
in major overseas trade shows in the UK, France, Italy, Hong Kong, Australia, Germany, Spain, and other
key markets. I encourage our members to plan ahead and take full advantage of these collective
participation opportunities.
We are undertaking several initiatives to strengthen our presence in existing markets while strategically
targeting new ones, propelling the handicrafts sector toward exponential growth and global recognition.
To achieve substantial growth in exports, we are adopting a multi-faceted approach encompassing
design innovation, productivity enhancement, sustainability, improved packaging, and brand building.
In the coming days, seminars and workshops on these key topics will be organized across various craft
clusters. I urge all members to attend and benefit from these sessions.
Please feel free to share your thoughts with me by writing to chairman@epch.com.
